Hidden — Poppy

The Poppy

“Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?
For sin is the sting that results in death,
and the law gives sin its power.
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and
death through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:54-56

For the Christian, the poppy represents the blood of Jesus and His resurrection and ascent to heaven. So, while poppies have been associated with death, they symbolize regeneration and eternal life.

One day we will all shed the tent we now live in. For everyone who has put their faith in Jesus Christ, death will, indeed, be swallowed up in victory. Praise the Lord’s Name forever.
